By joining SWE-BWS and participating in their virtual and in-person events, I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful local STEM professionals and to learn more about exciting companies / organizations and activities in the DC metro area. I really appreciate the opportunity to both learn from and socialize with SWE-BWS members, and I look forward to attending future events!
I’m very grateful for the learning and leadership opportunities that SWE has provided. Not only have SWE experiences aided my career development, they have also allowed me to connect with fellow engineers and perspective engineers. It’s been rewarding to volunteer at K-12 and collegiate SWE events to encourage the next generation of women engineers!
SWE has been a great way to meet very interesting people and get inspired in one’s own career. Through SWE outreach, it is amazing how many girls are so excited to meet their first engineer, and know there are women out there that share interests and skill. I find it very moving all the time!
